The Blessing of Peace
The holidays can be chaotic, financial strain, family tension, and emotional exhaustion can steal the peace we long for. I’ve felt that same inner restlessness, trying to keep everything together while my heart felt scattered.
But Jesus came to bring peace, not as the world gives. His peace isn’t the absence of problems; it’s His steady presence in the middle of them. When I’ve surrendered my anxieties to Him, I’ve found that His peace guards my heart and mind like a divine shield.
“God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which he must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.” - A.W. Tozer
The birth of Christ wasn’t just the arrival of a Savior, it was the arrival of peace between God and humanity. Because of Him, we’re no longer enemies of God but His children. That means even when circumstances crumble, we stand in the unshakable peace of reconciliation and relationship.
Respond to God’s Word:
- Think of one area where you need Christ’s peace this Christmas.
- Invite Him to still your heart and fill you with His calm.
