Living Thankful, Living Soberنموونە

Why is it so important to give thanks in all seasons? Why do we give thanks when life is good, and why do we give thanks when life is challenging? Why, through everything, do we continue to give thanks?
If you are walking the road of addiction recovery, you know there are many highs and lows — moments of victory and moments of struggle. There are times when gratitude flows easily, when you’re thankful to be alive and to have a second chance. And there are times when the weight of the past or the fear of the future presses heavily against you, trying to pull you back down.
It’s in those moments that giving thanks becomes a lifeline. When we practice giving thanks in all things, it reminds us of two powerful truths: God is always with us, and He is always good. That’s why it’s so important to live with a grateful heart not just when life feels easy, but always. Gratitude anchors us in God’s faithfulness and fills us with peace and strength that nothing in this world can shake.
Reflection Question: In what area of your life do you find it most difficult to give thanks right now and how can remembering God’s presence and goodness shift your perspective?
Prayer: Lord, remind me to give thanks in all seasons—when life is good and when life is hard. Fill my heart with gratitude every day.
