30 Days of Praying for Children and Familiesنموونە

We love a God who desires justice for the oppressed and calls us to champion the cause of the ‘poor’ and ‘needy’. He cares deeply about those the world rejects.
Who are the “poor” and “needy”? Scripture refers to the widow, the fatherless, and the foreigner in these terms. We might think of the 39,000 children who will enter care this year.
God longs to ‘secure justice’ for these. And he gives us a role to play – to ‘uphold the cause of the needy’. We can partake in his justice mission through advocacy, amplifying the voices of those who are silenced, and empowering the marginalised.
As we advocate for the powerless, our hearts are turned to God’s heart for justice.
Prayer
God of compassion,
You hear the cries of the widow and the orphan.
I pray for children and teenagers whose lives have been marked by trauma, neglect, and loss. We pray that each one would know they are precious in Your sight.
Please provide for those children who are still waiting for the safe, loving home they need.
I lift up to you the birth families of children who no longer live with them. May they know the healing comfort of your presence.
