30 Days to Confident Faithنموونە

Devotional:
Paul wrote these words from prison, yet his tone isn’t fearful or discouraged—it’s full of confidence. He was writing to the Ephesian church, reminding them of the privilege they had as followers of Christ: free, confident access to the throne of God. Under the old covenant, access to God was restricted, and only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies once a year. But because of Jesus’ sacrifice, the veil was torn (Matthew 27:51), and now every believer has unlimited access to God’s presence.
Think about that. The Creator of the universe invites you to come boldly into His presence—anytime, anywhere, without shame. That changes everything.
For so long, I struggled to pray boldly—especially when it came to praying for myself. I could intercede for others with faith and fire, but when it came time to seek God for my own needs, I felt unworthy. That feeling traced all the way back to my childhood.
As a little girl, I prayed desperately for God to rescue me from abuse, but when the rescue didn’t come the way I imagined, my faith in prayer became distorted. Through the eyes of a seven-year-old, I decided that maybe my prayers didn’t matter, that perhaps I wasn’t worth God’s attention. That lie clung to me into adulthood, and even as I grew in ministry and faith, I often carried that quiet sense of unworthiness when approaching Him for myself.
But in my twenties, God began a deep work of healing in me. As I unpacked layers of pain and trauma, I started to see His heart more clearly. One day, while reading this verse, I felt His Spirit whisper:“If I gave My life to bring you near, why would I ever push you away?” That truth shattered the walls I had built around prayer. In that moment, I felt seen, loved, and welcomed by the Father who had been holding me all along.
That realization wrecked me—in the best way. Prayer stopped feeling like begging for scraps from a distant God, and became the confident conversation of a beloved daughter with her Father.
Does this resonate with you? Maybe you’ve been hesitant to pray about something on your heart because it feels too small, too big, or too personal. Today, take this verse to heart. God isn’t just willing to listen; He longs to hear your voice.
Thought to Ponder:
Do I approach God with confidence, or do I hold back out of fear or shame?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for giving me bold, unhindered access to the Father. Help me to pray with faith, freedom, and confidence, trusting that You love to hear from me. Amen.
