Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesنموونە

When addiction makes you restless, God provides rest.
Do you spend more of the night awake than asleep? More time looking over your shoulder than in front of you? More time fidgeting than sitting still? While waiting for your next high, does it become more difficult to focus on anything other than the temporary relief? When trapped in a cycle of dependency, true rest can be impossible.
Rather than leaving you more tired than before, Jesus offers restorative rest. He offers a place to lay your burdens down. In Him, you don’t have to earn rest. You don’t have to plan a time to rest. You just have to come to Him.
Prayer
Jesus, I come to You to find rest. I’m tired and I’m overwhelmed by the many evils of this world. Give me eyes to see my life how You see it. Teach my heart to slow down and trust You. Fill me with only the peace You can give me. Amen.
