Day 10: The Beautiful Exchange
When we give ourselves to service, we don’t lose, we gain. Jesus promised that those who give up their lives for His sake will truly find them. Serving becomes a beautiful exchange: we bring God our time, talents, and efforts, and He blesses us with significance, joy, and eternal reward.
Service lifts our eyes from ourselves and reminds us that our lives matter. Every act of love, whether seen or unseen, is part of God’s eternal kingdom. Serving in small ways builds habits of humility. Serving in big ways stretches our faith and deepens our dependence on God. And in all of it, we come to know Jesus more intimately, becoming like Him in character and conviction.
When we serve, we discover that God’s Spirit is working through us, accomplishing far more than we could imagine. The blessings of service always outweigh the cost. It is not simply transactional - it is transformational, shaping us into Christ’s likeness and pointing others to Him.
Questions
- Where do you sense God inviting you to serve more intentionally?
- How have you experienced God blessing you more than you gave through serving?
