The Word Spread and the Church Grew

After Jesus rose from the grave and ascended into heaven, His followers didn’t go back to life as usual—they became a movement. Filled with the Holy Spirit and driven by the truth of the resurrection, they began to teach, pray, serve, and share the good news. Scripture tells us the Church grew—daily.

But this wasn’t about buildings or big names. It was about everyday people whose lives had been changed by the Word of God.

Lacy was a young mother fighting addiction, afraid for her unborn child’s life. But when she called on God in desperation, her body was miraculously healed, and her baby survived. Today, she leads a women’s recovery home, helping others find freedom in Christ.

Carlos was staring down an eleven-year prison sentence when he whispered a simple prayer from a jail cell: “God, You have my full attention.” Against all odds, he was released just two months later. Now, he preaches the gospel that saved him.

Stories like these are happening all around us—modern-day echoes of the book of Acts. The same Spirit that moved through Jerusalem now moves through rural towns, city jails, and broken homes. The gospel is still bearing fruit.

The Church isn’t just something we attend—it’s something we are. And when we live boldly for Jesus, the Word spreads, and lives change. We don’t have to be perfect. We just have to be willing.

Jesus, thank You for building a Church that is alive and unstoppable. Thank You for using people like me to carry Your truth. Help me to be bold, obedient, and ready to share the hope I’ve found in You. Use my life to grow Your Kingdom. Amen.
