Devotional for Postgraduate Studentsنموونە

Partner with the Holy Spirit on Every Assignment
The Holy Spirit teaches us all things (John 14:26). That includes how to read critically, structure an argument, find the right literature, and have peace in the process.
When you receive an assignment brief, your response should be: Holy Spirit, teach me and give me Your peace.
We return to yesterday’s scripture in Philippians chapter 1 and add verse 5 to our study. Why? Because your partnership with the gospel of Christ evokes the confidence that the work He started in you for this postgraduate course, He will surely complete it.
What does this partnership look like in the world of academia?
- Being a good witness through your conduct and pursuit of excellence.
- Speaking with kindness and integrity (Titus 2:7-8).
- Submitting work on time and staying teachable.
- Rejecting defeatist narratives from your peers, like “we’re all going to fail.”
- Capturing every negative thought about your studies and making them obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
- Staying rooted in a local church community and continuing to serve. Don’t let your studies become an excuse to disconnect from fellowship or serving.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, be my teacher, helper, and peace in every assignment.
