Through the Word: Knowing God, Making Him Knownنموونە

God The Father:
This story beautifully illustrates how God is like the father in the parable of the prodigal son, and we are like the son. Just as the son asked his father for his inheritance early, effectively wishing him dead, we, too, in our sin, have often lived as if we wanted to separate ourselves from God.
We’ve squandered our lives on worldly pursuits—whether it’s chasing after fleeting pleasures like sex, drugs, alcohol, vapes, weed, cheating, or anything else that draws us away from God. But just like the father in the parable, God is always waiting with open arms, longing for us to come to the realization that nothing in this world can ever compare to His love. He waits patiently, ready to embrace us, no matter how far we’ve strayed.
Take a moment to sit and truly reflect on this: God’s love is all we truly need. No earthly pleasure, no amount of wealth, fame, or success can fulfill us like the love of God. His love is constant, unshakeable, and it is the only thing that can fill the emptiness inside.
