Bold Prayers for Moms: A Back-to-School Devotionalنموونە

Day 3: Covering Their Friendships
Scripture:
"Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."
— Proverbs 13:20 (NIV)
📖 Devotional:
Friendships can make or break a school year.
The right ones can encourage, inspire, and draw your child closer to God.
The wrong ones? They can lead to confusion, compromise, or even heartbreak.
As moms, we can't always choose who our children sit next to or who they meet on the playground. But we can cover those relationships in prayer. We can declare that God surrounds them with wise, kind, and godly friends—and removes every connection that threatens their growth.
You don’t have to hover or control.
Your prayers reach farther than your eyes ever could.
When you pray over your child’s friendships, you’re asking God to place the right people in their life—those who uplift, speak life, and journey with them in truth. You're also asking Him to break off anything toxic, harmful, or distracting.
Friendship is more than social—it’s spiritual.
And today, you get to invite the Holy Spirit into your child’s circle.
🙏🏽 Bold Prayer:
Father, thank You for creating us for connection. Today, I lift up every friendship and relationship in my child’s life. I ask You to surround them with people who are wise, kind, loyal, and godly. Let their closest companions point them toward purpose.
I break off every unhealthy, ungodly, or harmful friendship.
I declare divine disconnections and divine alignments.
My child will not be swayed by peer pressure, but will stand strong in their identity.
Thank You for planting them among the right tribe—one that calls out their greatness.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
✨ Reflection Question:
Is there a friendship I need to pray specifically about—whether one I’m grateful for or one I’m concerned about?
