Demonstrating Love… With Love
The believer is called to be a living witness of God’s love in a world that often rejects or ignores it. To bring this love, it is not enough to speak or preach; it must be embodied in daily life. Jesus Himself showed us how to love authentically: with humility, sacrifice, and compassion.
In John 13:34-35 (KJV), Jesus says to His disciples: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” This passage reveals a fundamental truth: the authentic love of believers is the clearest testimony of God’s presence in the world.
To carry God’s love, the believer must first cultivate a deep personal relationship with God, receiving strength and grace from Him. Only then can one love not by one’s own strength, but with God’s own love working within.
Secondly, it is important to live love practically: helping those in need, forgiving those who have offended us, being patient, kind, and available. This practical love speaks louder than a thousand words and shows the beauty of the Gospel.
The believer must also be a channel of reconciliation, bringing peace and hope where there is conflict, division, and despair. God’s love is also manifested in the ability to reach out and build bridges, following Christ’s example.
Finally, prayer is essential: praying that God opens hearts and prepares people to receive His love, and praying that the Holy Spirit guides and strengthens our witness.
In summary, the believer carries God’s love into the world by living as a living reflection of that love, practicing it sincerely, perseveringly, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Thus, the world can see and recognize the true love that saves and transforms.

Paul invites us to understand the vastness of Christ’s love, which goes beyond all human measure. He speaks of being rooted and grounded in this love, so that together with all the saints we may grasp how wide, long, high, and deep His heart is. It is a call to live a deep and stable faith, rooted in the concrete experience of God’s love that sustains and transforms every believer.
