Exalted On Earth

I heard a minister say once that you may not always feel worthy, but you must always know your worth.

We serve a God who not only created the Heavens and the Earth, but He also chose us. We are redeemed, bought for a price because of His love for us. A huge part of God's love for us is His plan for our lives. The reason He sent us here to Earth. The things He calls us to walk through. The trials and battles that we face.

In prior verses, the psalmist invites us. He tells us to, "come and see the works of the Lord, who brings devastation on the earth. He makes wars cease throughout the Earth. He shatters bows and cuts spears to pieces; he sets wagons ablaze."

When reading this, it makes you stop and ponder just how mighty God is, and not only that, but also His power to fight any war or prevent any war from coming our way.

God has the power to confront what we are facing and stop it in its tracks.

In our focus verse this week, the psalmist teaches us how to rest before God and allow Him to be the Mighty One in our relationship with Him.

I've learned the hard way that God can fight my battles, much better than I can, and not only that, He wants to do it.

Let us decide together that, through this series, we will learn to fight our battles correctly by being still and placing them securely in God’s hands. Nothing can stop the plan God has for our lives.

The mountain before you may be great, but the God within you made the mountain.

Practice:

  • Please take five minutes to meditate on our focus verse today.
  • Be still, breathe, and rest.
  • Journal and pray about what God has revealed today.
