But why do we procrastinate?

There are lots of reasons, but here's one.

Sometimes I say, "I'll do that tomorrow," because I choose silence over assistance.

Remember... "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring." - Proverbs 27:1 (ESV)

I don't know how to do what I've been given to do, and so my pride stops me from asking for the help I need. But as a Christian, I have a secure identity in Christ.

My ability or inability to do something doesn't change the love He has for me.

Remembering that frees me up to ask for help, first from God and then from those around me.

And sometimes that is all I need to get started on something.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find..." Matthew 7:7 (ESV)
