Imitators of Godنموونە

Father with Purpose
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 (ESV).
As a father, you have the power to either stir frustration or nurture faith. God calls you to lead your children with both strength and gentleness - disciplining in love and teaching with grace.
You don’t need to be perfect, but you do need to be present. Let your life be the classroom where your children learn what it means to follow Jesus.
What kind of example am I setting for my children in how I lead, respond and love?
Prayer: Father God, thank You for entrusting me with the role of father. Give me wisdom to guide my children with truth and tenderness. Help me to reflect Your heart in the way I teach, correct and love. In Jesus name, Amen.

God has called men to more than strength. He has called us to spiritual leadership. As sons, husbands, fathers, and mentors, we are to live our lives in a way that reflects the character of Christ. This 5-day devotional is built around the call found in Scripture to “be imitators of God.” If you want to lead well, it begins with following well. Let us grow as imitators of our perfect Father.
