God's Promises About His Love
God is more than the Inventor of love. He is more than the One who keeps love going. God is love.
Every characteristic that can be applied to love can be applied to God. He is not rude or self-seeking, He is not easily angered, and He keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:4–5). He is always kind and patient with us.
When we love others, we tangibly live out God’s character. When we feel confused and hurt and need to be reminded how to love, we can examine God’s character for clues. We can dig into I Corinthians 13 for guidance. And if we follow that path, we will never, ever go wrong.
If you feel you are inadequate, worthless, or not enough, you didn’t get those ideas from God.
