Lent | Week 2: Trusting God for What You Needنموونە

Provision in Scarcity
When we go through seasons of scarcity where we feel like we don’t have enough, it's easy to slip into a self-preservation mindset. But this instinct is rooted in fear – fear that we won’t survive, fear that God won’t provide for our needs, fear that we’ll be left out to dry.
When God instructed the widow to give what little she had to Elijah, it seemed impossible. She was down to her last bit of food, and baking a loaf of bread for Elijah would deplete her supply and leave her with nothing. Yet, she trusted God and chose to do what he asked. As a result, the widow never ran out of oil or flour. God honored her faithfulness and took care of her, making sure she wouldn’t go hungry.
Even in seasons of scarcity, God is enough. He doesn’t promise unlimited resources, but he does promise to meet us where we are and make up for our lack. Where do you need to trust God instead of relying on your own strength this week?
Pray: Lord, when I feel like I have nothing left to give, remind me to trust you. Show me how to rely on you more fully today. Amen.

دەربارەی ئەم پلانە

In the second week of Lent, we’ll see how God met the needs of his people in the Bible - whether through manna in the wilderness, provision in scarcity, or strength in weakness. As we reflect on these stories, we’ll be challenged to trust that he is faithful to provide everything we truly need as we focus our attention back on him. 📖 This is part 2 of a 6-part Bible Reading Plan series! Part 1 is "Lent Week 1: Turning Back to God"
