Platforms vs. Pillars

ڕۆژی5 لە 7

Over the past few days, we’ve discussed the importance of becoming a pillar rather than chasing a platform. I’ve said it a few times before, and I’ll say it again: platforms are not bad. In fact, I think they’re great.

Through Yeshua Ministries, we have built one of the largest worship platforms in India, bringing millions closer to God.

But I’ve also seen the potential dangers and pitfalls a platform can bring and watched many crumble to pieces because they lacked the proper foundation.

So how do we build sturdy, lasting platforms and use them right? It starts with a pillar foundation:

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” – Matthew 7:24-27

Jesus is the rock we must build on. He will make us into pillars if we let him (Revelation 3:12). Our job is to grow in our relationship with Him, listen to His teachings, and live by them.

Without the security of a pillar foundation, going after a platform can cause us to collapse. I genuinely believe that when we focus on being pillars, platforms—whether big or small—will follow.

“Pillars built over time will create platforms of credibility and wisdom”
– Phil Dooley

“How do I do this?” You ask.

Time and again, the Bible tells us to focus on knowing Jesus, fixing our eyes on Him, seeking first His Kingdom and setting our minds on things above.

Choose today to focus on who you are becoming rather than what you’re building.

Hey! You are a Chamatkar
