Outlive: A Walk With Moses (Psalm 90)نموونە

In the next two verses, Moses focuses on God’s people. He uses first-person plurals. Being fallen, we are not only headed to death, we are also under judgment. We experience God’s anger.
For we have been consumed by Your anger
And by Your wrath we have been dismayed. (Psalm 90:7)
At the start of the 2020 COVID pandemic, many asked: “Is this God’s judgment upon us?” (We’ll discuss this in more depth tomorrow.)
Moses says:
You have placed our iniquities before You,
Our secret sin in the light of Your presence. (Psalm 90:8)
God is fully aware of our sins and iniquities. We all have blind spots. But God sees our sins and iniquities in plain, bright view all the time.
The Fall not only endowed in us the tendency to sin, but to hide sin as well. But hidden sin catches up to us eventually, even after our life is over. It brings down families, organizations, nations, and even civilizations.
Here’s a sobering truth: If I conceal sin, God will reveal it. If I confess sin, God will cover it.
