Consider It All Joyنموونە

This Wonderful Normal
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
Lord God,
While temptation whispers in my ear to not enjoy this season, I actually feel filled with peace and thanksgiving over this season of normal. Thank You, Lord, for the routine of my current life. The normal, the lack of drama, and the beauty of the everyday fuels my soul. It’s something I didn’t know needed. But You knew.
So instead of wishing for the next thing or planning a new and exciting adventure, I will rejoice and be glad in this day, for it is a day that You have made. Each day is such a gift! Thank You, Giver and Sustainer of life, for each day I wake up with breath in my lungs. I pray that I will not grow weary in the normal routine but will rejoice daily in this gift. Help me have eyes to see Your glory revealed in the little moments. Remind me that You are the God of the ordinary just like You’re the God of the crazy adventures. Today I look to You, Father. I pause in the midst of my everyday to turn my eyes toward You and fall more in love with You as I enjoy the quiet of this wonderful normal.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
