Day 3: The Spiritual Blood
In the New Testament, Yeshua came down to earth and lived a perfect life. Yeshua replaced the Old Testament sacrifices, and He became the sacrificial lamb in our place. What was perfect about him? It was his blood. Sin never tainted His blood. His thoughts, words, and actions were unblemished.
The Hebrew word for blood is dam (דָּם) (pronounced: dawm.) In the Paleo Hebrew, the dalet (ד) looks like the door to a tent. The mem (מ) looks like waves of water. Yeshua’s blood is the door to living waters.
Our Father loves us so much that He gave His son to be our atoning and redeeming sacrifice. Through the power of His blood, we are redeemed. Life is in the blood. Eternal life is in Yeshua’s perfect blood. The Holy Spirit flows through us because of the power of His blood.
Reflection:
Today, marvel at the perfection of his blood. He was calm. There was no adrenaline flowing through his bloodstream when he gave up his spirit. He did this because he loved you. As you meditate on this, write down how this makes you feel.
