What does the example of Jesus washing feet teach us about servant leadership?

The night before Jesus was to endure the most horrific punishment any man would ever experience, He did something truly extraordinary. Wrapping a towel around His waist, He began to wash the feet of His disciples. In Jesus’ final hours, He wanted to teach us what it means to be a true servant of Christ. He would even wash the feet of the man He knew was about to betray Him to death on the cross.

What does the world say about how you should treat your enemies? How can you demonstrate the heart of a servant in your daily life? Do you, as Jesus did, consistently put the needs of others before your own?
