Demonstrating God's love

The best showcase of God’s love is to sacrificially serve those around you.

Even if you feel they don’t deserve it, and even if you get nothing in return, this service demonstrates the type of love that God displayed to us when He sent Jesus to die for our sins, even before we knew Him.

Our flesh gets in the way of being able to sacrificially serve those around us. We are selfish, lazy and greedy for a start, and these characteristics can seep their way into our hearts and minds and turn us from demonstrating the love God calls us to be when He says, ‘You are the light of the world’ in Matthew 5:14.

Find someone today who you can show kindness and generosity to. Allow God to lead you to see opportunities to share His love and goodness in the world. May we never become so prideful that we forget in whose image we are made.
