Day 3: Strength for Stewardship
Stewardship is a significant responsibility that God has entrusted to each of us. It encompasses not only our management of physical resources but also our spiritual, relational, and vocational responsibilities. To steward well means to care for, cultivate, and multiply what God has given us, ensuring that His kingdom is reflected in every area of our lives. However, this task can often feel overwhelming, especially when we try to do it in our own strength.
God, in His infinite wisdom, knows that the burdens of stewardship can weigh heavily on us, which is why He offers His strength to sustain us. The strength that God provides is not merely physical but is deeply spiritual, renewing us from the inside out. Isaiah 40:31 paints a beautiful picture of this divine exchange—when we hope in the Lord, our strength is renewed, and we are empowered to soar above challenges, run the race with endurance, and walk the path set before us without fainting.
In Philippians 4:13, Paul declares that he can do all things through Christ who gives him strength. This isn’t just a motivational statement; it’s a profound truth that applies to every aspect of our stewardship. Whether you are managing your home, leading a ministry, building a business, or nurturing relationships, you can do it all through Christ’s strength. You are not alone in your responsibilities; God is with you, empowering you every step of the way.
Today, ask God to renew your strength as you fulfill the roles He has given you. Where do you need His strength the most? Trust that as you lean on Him, He will provide the endurance and power you need to steward His gifts faithfully.
**Prayer:**
Father, I thank You for the strength that comes from You alone. As I fulfill the responsibilities You have entrusted to me, I ask that You renew my strength. Help me to be a faithful steward of Your kingdom, empowered by Your Spirit to do all things through Christ. Amen.
