Acts 4:32-37 | a Life Surrenderedنموونە

Acts 4 shows us no surrender. No arrest, interrogation, or threats from the leaders made Peter or John back down. Acts 4 states, “Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, ‘Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you or him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.’”
The irony is that Peter and John surrendered themselves to the authorities without surrendering. Once arrested, it’s as if they said, “You can do with me as you will, but I will never trade my allegiance to Jesus nor back down. My life is surrendered to Jesus. I pledge him my all. You can take my freedom You can take my possessions. You can kill my body. But you cannot take my soul.” Ironically, in this kind of surrender, they find strength and power in Jesus to face anything.
The temptation towards surrender is always around us. When do you feel pressured to surrender Jesus rather than surrender to him?
