The Kid: An Advent Devotional for High Schoolersنموونە

Growing up, I knew that if I went to my parents with my fears, I would find safety with them. Now, think of an impactful and trustworthy adult who was there for you. Maybe it’s a parent, a coach, a grandparent, a friend’s parent, or a Small Group Leader. Even with that support, there have still probably been times when you felt all alone with your fears.
Well, I have good news for you. There is a God to whom we can go with all our fears—the things in our future that scare us, the stuff from our past that haunts us, the things we’re dealing with today—all of it. We can bring all our anxiety to God, and just as Scripture says, God hears our prayers and answers them when we do.
Because God sent Jesus, we don’t have to be afraid this Christmas or in any season. Why? Because we can turn to God with all of our fears!
