What scares you? As a kid, I’m sure it was things like the dark, bad weather, or even the “monster” under your bed. But as we get older we learn that the “monster” under our bed is really just the fear of the unknown. We build up this idea in our head about what could happen, and that is what starts to bring fear into our hearts. When we were younger we would say we were afraid of the dark, but did you ever wonder why you weren’t afraid of the dark when you were with someone else? What could change for you if you started living your life like you weren’t alone? Would you still be afraid of the dark/unknown if you knew that God goes with you?
Today, write down all the fears you have. Be specific. Then spend time in prayer sharing them with God.
