Dinner With Jesusنموونە

Have you ever heard the phrase: “We are only as sick as our secrets”? It’s the idea that the things we keep hidden away about ourselves are the very things that need to be exposed for us to find the healing we need. The problem is that our secrets, our shame, our mistakes, and our sins are the very things we try to run away from. We want to keep them from ourselves, from others, and even from God. That’s what makes this verse from the Book of Hebrews so powerful. Not only can God handle our secrets, and all that we bring to Him; He wants all we have hidden and feel shame over. As the writer of Hebrews said, we can approach God’s presence with confidence. We don’t need to cower in fear or hide in shame. We can come before God certain grace and mercy win the day. Is there something you are “hiding” from God? What would it look like to go into God’s presence with confidence?
