Dinner With Jesusنموونە

During hard circumstances, sometimes it feels like our metaphorical vision narrows. We can only see the issues in front of us, the pain we might be experiencing, the frustration we feel, or the uncertainty about what comes next. It’s as if you go from being able to take in the whole world in front of you, to your vision shrinking down to a small dot made up entirely of your despair.
The disciples walking along on the road to Emmaus must have been feeling the same way when they encountered Jesus—but didn’t realize it was Him. Their vision had narrowed because of the fear and uncertainty they faced. They couldn’t see that Jesus was right in front of them, because all they could see was that their circumstances felt out of control. What is something you’re going through in your life right now that has narrowed your vision? What could you be missing? Where might Jesus be at work in the world around you if you changed your perspective around the difficulty you’re facing?
