Security and Freedom

In today's verses, we will look at the relationship between security and freedom. God did wonders in Egypt to deliver the people of Israel, and they sang of happiness for their deliverance. But God cared about them and gave them instructions that forbade them from many things, for their safety. But we see that when Israel was free in his land, he used his freedom to turn away from God's ways.

So freedom also makes us vulnerable, from ourselves and others. Let us ask God to give us the right balance between freedom and security.
