God has treasure for you—precious things that no one and no circumstance can ever take away.

Did you know that diamonds originate deep inside the earth? In the base of the thickest and oldest and darkest parts of the continents? What makes a diamond? Pressure! Lots and lots of pressure!

And isn't it the same with us—with our lives?

God says to us, I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord who calls you by name.

God has beautiful treasure for you—the treasures of darkness. And they are the things that you can only learn in suffering. And it's there that you realize the beauty, the treasure of God—that He truly is who He says He is.
