Looking at verses 2 and 5. I want us to highlight in partial quotes in verse 2 ‘To agree in the Lord’ and verse 5 ‘Let your reasonableness be known’
In these verses, the point being made is that Reconciliation is important to God and so it is important to us.
When looking at the narrative of the Bible as a whole it is evident that a main theme of the story is that God wants relationship with humanity to be restored again. And if that is the main theme of the bible how can we as the church with the world, and even more so within our own church, be people that fight for reconciliation and unity? Especially in a world that strives for division.

The letter to the church in Philippi is an incredible example of what it means to live as a follower of Jesus in light of what was accomplished in Jesus' death and resurrection. This book is an essential text for the church as we seek to live the way of Jesus in practice.
