Jesus wept.
What’s on your to-do list today? Maybe you’re doing a little cleaning, taking care of your kids, perhaps preparing food, and making sure everyone gets to and from school on time. The moments that make up our lives may feel small and insignificant at times but guess what—every minute of your life matters to God.
The Bible tells us the amazing story of Jesus raising His friend, Lazarus, from the dead. It was all part of Jesus’ plan to reveal Himself as God—the only one who has the power to bring dead things to life. But before He resurrected Lazarus, Jesus wept with his friend’s mourners.
Why would He do that? He knew he would be alive in a few minutes! Jesus has compassion for us—for you—every moment of your day. He weeps with you and endures every hardship with you because you are precious to Him.
