Ruthنموونە

The book of Ruth shows us how God orchestrates circumstances to accomplish His purposes. The deaths of Elimelech and his sons, the journey to Moab, Ruth's decision to return with Naomi, and the way Ruth and Boaz ultimately meet, culminating with the council where Boaz redeems the family inheritance, were all parts of God's plan to redeem Naomi's family line.
It is fascinating to read stories in God’s word where He is directing and leading circumstances to accomplish His purposes. And He does that today, even when we don’t understand or can’t see what’s happening. Remember the old phrase; there is always more than meets the eye.

The story of Ruth stands as a story of redemption. Coming from tragedy and as a foreign woman, Ruth is the last person we might expect to see the goodness of God. She becomes a key figure in the story of the Bible and the great-grandmother of King David himself!
