Praying the Armor of God Over Your Familyنموونە

Gospel of Peace
When my kids were little and would bicker, I desperately wanted one thing. In those moments, I didn’t need a perfectly clean house or my dream job. I needed peace.
God gives us all the ability to walk in peace. But we have to be ready because we don’t always know ahead of time when we’ll need to use it. We can pray for that readiness within our household and beyond, that our family would be ready to walk in peace in any situation.
Whether dealing with an issue with a sibling, a classmate, a teacher, or a boss, we can be ready to walk in the peace that Jesus calls us to. It’s not something we need to figure out on our own. We can ask God to make us ready so that when the need arises we react from a spirit of peace instead of frustration, impatience, or anger.
Father, I long for my family to operate from a place of peace in all they do. Ready us to do that by filling us with Your Spirit. Prepare us to react peacefully to every situation we face, so that others may know You through us. Amen

There is nothing I want more as a parent than to make sure my family is well-loved and safe. Using the framework in Ephesians, we can pray the armor of God for our families to help protect them and keep their focus on God.
