God sent Jesus to be the perfect representation of what God is like. And the things Jesus came and said and did show us exactly who God is. Jesus, in this verse, tells his followers He showed up bringing peace. Then, He tells them that He is sending them into the world to do the same. Two thousand years later, that message is for us too! Jesus is looking at us and sending us into the world to partner with Him to bring peace and healing to all people. Think about this today: Who in your personal world might need you to represent what God is like to them? How can you be a message of peace and healing to them?
