Face to Face With Jesus - a Lenten Meditationنموونە

When we live on the earth we are citizens of the earth, specifically the country of our birth. When we accept Jesus into our lives, we are adopted into the family of God, and are then citizens of heaven. This doesn’t mean that we are exempt from our earthly roles and duties. It just means that we now have dual citizenship. This means that while we walk the earth, work at our jobs, run our families and interact with others, we must fulfill the tasks that are expected of us. It also means that we do everything be it our career or our divine calling with the utmost devotion to God, seeking to please Him and display His love to a watching world. The divide between the sacred and secular disappears when we live as people of dual citizenship.
Questions to ask yourself
Am I being a faithful citizen to my country of residence?
Am I living responsibly as a citizen of heaven on earth?
