Have you ever seen a baby living its best life and gotten jealous? They don't have a care in the world! They eat, sleep, and poop — not even having to clean up after themselves! Although we may covet their easy living, thinking of a child's carefree attitude is probably one of the most profound things that can help us relate to God, the best parent.
The same way children completely trust their caregiver as their source is how we can depend on God. Small children aren't troubled about their future. Honestly, they can't even comprehend it. All they know is that when they cry out, their needs are met. When we call out in prayer, our needs are important to God. The things that worry us or bring up anxiousness matter to God. We can rely on God because we matter in the same way a child matters to their parent or caregiver.
