Be Still: 15 Days With God نموونە

IN HIS PRESENCE
When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” PSALM 27:8
David’s one desire was to be in the presence of God. Oh, that wisdom we are so desperately in need of will come to us there. For sight to see ahead and insight to understand our times are waiting in the Presence of our Almighty God.
He said He would never leave us or forsake us, and I trust that He is always with us. But when we seek His face, His Presence is more keenly experienced. We need to direct our hearts to be more aware of the Presence of God. Like David, may we be eager to seek His face in response to His call to draw near Him. From that excitement, our prayer becomes, “Awaken in us, oh Lord, that longing as in our first love! Deepen our anticipation and yearning, hunger and desire for more of You!”
And there, you’ll find peace amid great confusion. There, you’ll know what to do as you wait.
From Jesus Our Hope, Psalms 24-27

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
