Be Still: 15 Days With God نموونە

A PICTURE OF HOPE
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope. PSALM 130:5
This is a picture of hope that is so powerful. It is an abiding hope, an abiding faith. It has taken up residence in the heart that possesses it.
We all go through depression, and “out of the depths, we cry.” The fact is, we will go through great bouts of difficulty, challenge, and depression here. However, this is a depression that is actually good for us as it causes us to quiet our souls. It makes us look up and put our hope in Him.
The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 that “faith is the substance of things hoped for.” The word substance in Greek is “hupostasis,” or a document to verify owned things. Faith is the title deed to things hoped for! What are you hoping for? Is your hope firmly established in the Lord, or is it caught up in things of this world?
From A Quiet Hope, Psalms 128-131

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
