Lentنموونە

Week 1 Intro
The season of Lent always begins on Ash Wednesday. During this shortened week of Lent, we will reflect on the story of Jesus’ encounter with a blind beggar (or two beggars, according to Matthew). The attitude of this beggar demonstrates the perspective that we hope each of us has as we enter the season of Lent: desperate and hungry for what Jesus has to offer us. As we seek Jesus, we can be comforted that He takes the time to notice us and our needs.

For thousands of years, Christians worldwide have spent time preparing their hearts to celebrate Easter, eventually naming this season “Lent.” During the 40 days before the holiday, they would fast, pray, and spend extra time in the Scripture. We have developed this devotional as a tool to help you dig into the Bible this Lenten season and learn more about who Jesus is.
