Everyday Life in Revelation: Part 6 the Trumpetsنموونە

Revelation shows us the things that have happened, are presently happening and will continue to happen until King Jesus returns. This is evident as we inspect the sounding of the seventh trumpet. John hears the trumpet, and heaven announces, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.” (v. 15)
We see the fulfillment of all Scripture. When sin entered our world, the created order plunged into darkness and death. The world became broken. Humanity was in rebellion, and spiritual death reigned. From the very beginning, God was on a mission to redeem humankind and the created world. We see the fulfillment of God’s mission in this passage.
Right now, Jesus is reigning over his creation, and all creation is groaning as we await the King’s return. Today’s passage shows us what happens once creation stops groaning and the culmination of Jesus’ return occurs. The temple in heaven opens, and God prepares for eternity to finally and totally embrace creation. There are other glimpses of this found throughout Scripture. You can see this theme in passages such as Psalm 2. Check it out for yourself.
