Pastor How to Read Lukeنموونە

Please read the Gospel of Luke 1:57-66,
65 Awe fell upon the whole neighborhood, and the news of what had happened spread throughout the Judean hills. 66 Everyone who heard about it reflected on these events and asked, “What will this child turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was surely upon him in a special way.
Verses 65-66 describe what we would call in our social media age as ‘going viral’.
A lot of crazy stuff and fake news go viral these days. As Christians, we need to take back the narrative and spread stories of God’s goodness and miracles. Without the people spreading the stories, the impact of this miracle would have been limited. The stories of the miracle are as powerful as the miracle itself. They cause people to reflect.
“What will this child turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was surely upon him in a special way.
This verse is so special to me.
When Pastor Lia and I see children and youths, 5-year-olds, 11-year-olds, 16-year-olds… we imagine in our hearts, “What will this child turn out to be?”
A Pastor? Missionary? Leader? An on-fire Christian business person, teacher, psychologist, journalist, etc.?
We see the hand of the Lord on every child in a special way.
