Worship at the Wellنموونە

I remember teaching about worship one day and we were contemplating this passage. It is famous in the Bible and we’re told the perfume that was poured out represented more than a year's worth of wages. Wasteful it would seem. At least the religious leaders of the day thought so. In one short moment, love was poured out, preparing Jesus for what was to come. Of course, Jesus didn’t have a problem with the expense or extravagance. Religious people always do.
In Luke's account of this story, Jesus says this woman loved much because she had been forgiven much. She saw His great worth because her life was forever changed. This is what hit me that day and I shared it with the group. “If we are still measuring out our offerings we haven’t seen His worth yet”.
Have you been forgiven much? Have you seen His endless worth? As you worship, pour it all out. He is worth it and infinitely more.
