Your First Stepsنموونە

COMMUNITY
You’re not alone in this.
You’ve made a choice to live a new kind of life—a life committed to following Jesus, and that can seem really difficult.
And it is.
But you’re not alone.
First, Jesus will never abandon you. He is completely committed to you, and He won’t ever go back on that commitment.
And second, Jesus has not just invited you into a new life, but into a new family. He gives you an all new community to join with. We call it the Church.
And church can be messy because people are messy.
And church can be flawed because people are flawed.
And church can be beautiful because people are beautiful.
When the church is at its best, it is miraculous—a colony of Heaven here on earth. We encourage each other, and push each other to grow as we follow Jesus. We hold each other accountable, and lovingly direct each other away from destructive habits and patterns and back onto the path of Jesus.
Join a church; get involved. Don’t expect perfection because after all, you’re not perfect.
But if it’s a church centered around Jesus and committed to living out His way in your neighborhood, then it’s a family that is worth joining.
