What If I'm Not Sure?

Devotion: Maybe you've read these devotionals and now you're panicking. "What if I'm not really saved? What if I've been deceiving myself? What if I'm one of the 'many' Jesus will reject?"

First, breathe. The fact that you're concerned is a good sign. False believers don't worry about their salvation—they're confident in their deception. The Holy Spirit uses conviction to draw us to truth.

Second, understand the difference between lack of assurance and lack of salvation. Some genuine believers struggle with assurance because of past sin, spiritual attack, or poor teaching. Lack of assurance doesn't equal lack of salvation.

Third, settle it today. Right now. If you're uncertain, make it certain. Don't gamble with eternity. Don't assume you're saved because you prayed a prayer at age seven or walked an aisle at summer camp.

Salvation is simple: confess Jesus as Lord. Believe He rose from the dead. Trust Him alone to save you. Surrender your life to His control.

If you've never done that—do it now. If you did it but you've been living for yourself—repent and surrender now. If you're not sure—make sure now.

God promises: "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). Call on Him. Genuinely. Desperately. Completely. He will save you.

You can settle this today. Don't leave this moment unsure.

Declaration: "I confess Jesus as my Lord. I believe He rose from the dead. I trust Him alone for salvation. I surrender my life completely. I am saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ."

Prayer: "Jesus, I confess You as Lord. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust You alone to save me—not my works, not my religion, not my efforts. Save me. I surrender everything. I am Yours. In Your name, amen."
