30 Days of Scriptures for Mental Health Strugglesনমুনা

Day 21: Faith + Action
Growing up, I was always taught to have faith in God. My faith has played an enormous role in my mental health stability. However, another factor that has been important to my healing is action. I had to have faith and put in the work to get better.
On the faith side, for me, this looks like reading my Bible, praying to God, and attending church service. On the action side, for me, it looks like seeing a psychiatrist, attending therapy sessions, and taking medicine. I truly believe that this combination helped me teach stability for 5 years.
I also am reminded of James 2:17 NIV that says, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” This means that faith has to be paired with tangible action for it to work. Your faith should drive action.
Therefore, I want to encourage you to let your faith drive your action. Your faith to overcome mental health struggles should promote you to take action to do so.
Prayer point;
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, thank you for your Word. Please increase my faith to spur my action in overcoming my mental health struggles. Give me wisdom to know which actions to take. Help me overcome my challenges. Thank you for your guidance. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
