30 Scripture Based Prayers for Your Marriageনমুনা

Lord, bring healing to every broken place.
Marriage brings together two people with broken parts. With the brokenness of our world, our families of origin, and the sinfulness of our flesh, we carry hurts and wounds with us into our marriage relationship. The issue comes when those wounds bleed over into our marriage and when those hurts are a source of contention between you and your spouse.
If you’re holding a hurt from your father over your husband’s head or you’re self-sabotaging your marriage because of experiences from your past, I invite you to take today to lay those hurts at the feet of Jesus. If you and your spouse have hurt one another and walked through seasons of hardship, now’s the time to allow the Lord to mend and restore.
Psalm 147:3 (NIV) says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” You can trust him with your marriage. You can trust him with your heart. He loves you and he loves your spouse and he wants your marriage to succeed. The devil wants to steal, kill and destroy but the Lord’s heart is to renew, heal and restore!
Today's Prayer:
Lord, you are the great comforter. No matter what we have brought into our marriage, there’s nothing you can’t heal or restore. We pray that your healing hand would do the work that only you can do!

About this Plan

Bringing your marriage before the Lord is both powerful and redemptive. When two imperfect people stand on Scripture and invite God to strengthen their bond, they build a defense the enemy cannot break. What a gift to know God is for your marriage, and for you. These next 30 days are an invitation to declare his Word over your relationship and trust him with what only he can do: protect, grow, and fortify your marriage from the inside out.
