As you go after Jesus, take up the full armor of God so you can stand firm in the day of battle.

✍️ Devotional Thought
Paul lists six essential pieces of spiritual armor: the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit. Each piece is vital. Soldiers do not pick and choose which part of their armor to wear — they put it all on before going into battle.

The belt of truth holds everything together. The breastplate of righteousness protects your heart. The shoes of peace give you stability to move forward with confidence. The shield of faith extinguishes the fiery arrows of the enemy. The helmet of salvation secures your mind in Christ. And the sword of the Spirit — God’s Word — equips you to fight back with truth.

When you find yourself in a spiritual battle, don’t leave any piece behind. The enemy will attack where you are most vulnerable. When the enemy comes attacking, be ready to stand strong as a soldier of Jesus with the full armor of God.
