Matthew's Journey: 'Accepted as You Are' (Part 1)নমুনা

Acceptance is a Challenge
Accepting others isn’t always easy. Even within Jesus’ closest followers, there were struggles. In The Chosen (Season 2, Episode 3), we see how hard it is for the disciples to accept Matthew. Peter, in particular, struggles with Matthew’s past as a tax collector and questions why Jesus would welcome him into their group.
Acceptance is often a journey. It takes humility, patience, and love. Ephesians 4:2-3 reminds us to “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Likewise, Colossians 3:13 urges us to forgive, just as the Lord has forgiven us. We are called not only to be accepted but also to extend acceptance to others, even when it’s difficult.
Is there someone in your life that you find hard to accept? Ask God to give you the patience and love to see them as He does.
About this Plan

Do you, like Matthew from The Chosen, struggle with (self-)acceptance? This reading plan takes you on a 5 day journey from isolation to belonging. Through Bible verses, Devotionals, and Matthew’s story, discover how Jesus calls you, does not turn you away, and gives you a place where you can fully be yourself. You can read this plan separately, but it is also part of The Chosen 'Test of Character' journey.
