The Gospel of Matthewনমুনা

One Team for Life
I recently had the chance to go to a Red Sox game in Boston. I’ve been to baseball games before, but this one felt different—historic, electric. One thing that always fascinates me about sports is how quickly players switch teams. One year, they’re giving everything for one team, and the next year, they’re competing against that same team with equal intensity.
But following Jesus doesn’t work like that. There’s no switching teams. When you choose to live for God, it’s a lifelong commitment. You don’t give Him half your heart or part of your week. You give Him everything, every day.
In Matthew 6, Jesus calls us to wholehearted devotion—not for show, not for the applause of others, but for the glory of God. He teaches us to pray, fast, give, and live in secret obedience, trusting that the Father sees and rewards what is done in secret. He reminds us not to chase what the world chases, but to seek first His kingdom.
Respond to God’s Word:
Today, slow down and pray the Lord’s Prayer phrase by phrase. Let it re-center your heart on the only team that matters—the Kingdom of God.
